We're seeking an experienced dental nurse to join our friendly and supportive team, working to support our foundation dentists (FD) alongside our foundation trainer. The role is highly rewarding and brings great job satisfaction from being able to guide the foundation dentists to provide good-quality care to patients as a team.
The Dental Hub is a family-run practice providing mixed NHS and private dental care. We believe our staff members are our greatest asset and the key to the success of our practice.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
* Welcoming patients and delivering a high-quality patient experience.
* Organising and stocking the dental surgery in preparation for the clinical team to treat patients.
* Providing skilled chair-side support, drawing from own knowledge and experience to guide and support during treatment.
* Communicating with the foundation dentists, knowing when to seek further support from the foundation trainer.
* Providing professional and constructive feedback to foundation dentists and foundation trainer as appropriate.
* Setting up decontamination of instruments.
* Supporting the clinical team as needed.
* Maintaining stock and ordering supplies.
* Assisting with lab tasks as needed.
* Assisting with front office tasks as needed.
Qualities and experience:
* Experience of working with a number of different dentists: knowledge of different ways of working/use of a wide range of materials.
* Confidence to communicate openly and provide feedback.
* Excellent standards of patient care and a commitment to patient satisfaction.
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills and a friendly and positive attitude.
* Highly motivated and eager to learn.
* Organised and able to plan and complete work efficiently and effectively.
