Parts Coordinator
Location: Stockton-on-Tees
Salary: £26,718 per annum
Hours: Monday - Friday - Office hours
Reporting to: Warehouse Manager
Type: Permanent
Job Purpose
The purpose of this role is to ensure the safe and efficient receipt, storage and dispatch of warehouse materials, goods and products and recondition lifts to feed business operations and customer demand.
Responsibilities
* Perform inventory controls and keep quality standards high for audits.
* Participate in 6S activities in the warehouse and on the grounds, ensuring a system of continuous improvement; keep a clean and safe working environment and optimise space utilisation.
* Follow quality service standards and comply with procedures, rules and regulations.
* Participate in safety initiatives and where appropriate assist in audits and incident reporting.
* Ordering spare parts from external suppliers; making up of spare parts.
* Take part in team meetings and walkarounds.
* Fulfil orders from local authorities and 3rd party vendors
* Ensuring IT systems are updated when parts leave the warehouse
* Communicate with other areas of the business if issues arise.
* Assist the service office and Engineers with part number and lead time queries
* Ensure department inboxes are up to date at all times.
* Ensure service orders are kept to an acceptable level.
* Order tools and uniform for the business when requested to do so by a manager.
* Operate and maintain warehouse vehicles and equipment.
* Show awareness of departmental KPIs and how you contribute to these.
* Manage personal objectives to achieve in line with department and business objectives.
* Continually monitor current processes and make suggestions for improvement.
* Carry out any other reasonable duties requested by the Supply Chain Manager
Requirements
Essential:
* Demonstrable knowledge of modern warehousing practices and methods
* Demonstrable experience of working in a warehouse
* Qualification at GCSE Level or Equivalent
* Qualification at A Level or Equivalent
Desirable:
* Forklift certification and/or ability to successfully complete forklift training and operate machinery safely according to company protocol
