Job Description
Metro Mechanical is expanding, and we are looking to recruit Technical Drainage Estimator to join our PPM Mobilisation Team based at our Gravesend HQ. We will offer a competitive salary of £35,000+ (depending on experience), a great working culture, 20 days holiday plus bank holidays, employer contribution pension scheme, regular training and career development, personal accident cover, free use of well-equipped private on-site gym, company social events throughout the year and free parking. Working hours: Mon - Fri, 37.5 hours per week.
The Role: This predominately office-based role involves preparing and developing drainage estimates; producing estimates in compliance with drainage standards and procedures; regular communication with the project clients to ensure delivery and cost effectiveness. There will be occasional requirements to visit client sites for meetings and site reviews when necessary so a full UK Driving licence will be essential. We are a very customer focused business; therefore, strong communication skills are a key component for this role.
The Ideal Candidate: Previous experience of working in the Drainage sector, the role would suit someone who has worked as a Drainage Engineer and understands the workings of a drainage map and drainage plumbing or a Surveyor who has undertaken drainage CCTV surveys on commercial sites and has experience in reviewing CCTV footage and compiling full detailed reports. A good IT knowledge and strong organisational skills will be key for this role. We will give in-house training, but it will be essential that the successful candidate has knowledge of the drainage industry and terminology.
