Responsibilities
We are currently seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist on a PRN/per diem/as-needed basis. As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will perform diagnostic and therapeutic technical procedures utilizing radiopharmaceuticals in a careful, compassionate and respectful manner. * Use radioactive isotopes to perform organ and body scans
* Prepare radioactive isotopes for administration to patients in accordance with physicians\' orders and record dosages accordingly
* Perform diagnostic studies on patients using scanners or scintillation cameras to detect radiation emitted and produce images of organs on photographic film
* Position patients and adjust immobilization devices
* Compassionately explain procedures to patients and address any concerns
* Monitor, record and communicate utilizing computerized documentation
* May assist with transporting patients as needed
Qualifications
* Associate Degree
* Graduate of an accredited and AMA-approved Nuclear Medicine Technology training program
* Clear/active State of Florida Department of Health licensure (CRT)
* Current Nuclear Medicine credential: NMTCB or ARRT (N)
* Minimum of one (1) year of recent experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist required
* Current basic life support (BLS) certification upon hire; ACLS within 6 months of hire
* Ability to perform work that requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, lifting of patients and/or equipment up to 50 lbs
