Aspire People are recruiting for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to support a pupil within a secondary setting in B12, starting April 2026.
Responsibilities
* Providing 1:1 support for a student with Autism in a secondary school setting
* Supporting a non-verbal student using appropriate communication strategies
* Helping to manage and respond calmly to perceived challenging behaviour
* Supporting engagement with learning and daily school routines
* Working closely with teaching staff and the SEN team
Ideal Candidate / Qualifications
* Have experience supporting students with Autism and additional needs
* Be calm, patient and resilient
* Have experience supporting non-verbal communication (PECS, visual supports or similar is desirable)
* Be confident working with students who may present behavioural challenges
* Be committed to inclusive education and student wellbeing
