Risk assessments and workplace Safety rules\n. Safe handling of materials and Cutting fluids\n. Reading technical drawings\n. Understanding dimensioning and tolerances\n. interpreting engineering specifications\n. Using vernier calipers\n. Using micrometers\n. Dial indicators and gauges\n. quality control and inspection techniques\n. Understanding CNC machine operation\n. Basic CNC programming\n. Setting tools and work offsets\n. Running and monitoring CNC production Jobs\n. Measuring and calculating dimensions\n. Speed, feeds and cutting calculations\n. Basic engineering calculations\nAs you progress, you would move from assisting experienced machinist to independently producing precision components to very tight tolerances for industries such as aerospace ,automotive,energy and manufacturing Minimum of 3 Nat 4 or 5 including Math or Science.\nAny additional qualifications would be desirable\nAccuracy and attention to detail.\nGood communication skills.\nFlexible and adaptable to change.\nProblem solving\n
