We are seeking an experienced and confident Level 3 Nursery Practitioner to join a friendly and supportive nursery team based in Brentwood. This is a full-time position with both permanent and temp-to-perm options available, depending on your preference and suitability.
You will play a vital role in supporting the early years development of children, ensuring a safe, stimulating, and caring environment where they can thrive and reach their full potential.
* Plan and deliver age-appropriate, engaging, and creative activities in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
* Monitor and support the progress and development of children in your care.
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date observations, assessments, and reports.
* Build strong, effective communication and partnerships with parents/carers, keeping them informed of their child’s progress and daily experiences.
* Promote and maintain health and safety, safeguarding, and hygiene standards.
* Work collaboratively with other staff to ensure high-quality care and education.
* Be confident managing key person responsibilities, including planning next steps for children's learning.
* Support children's personal, social, emotional, and physical development.
* Follow nursery policies and procedures to ensure consistent standards are upheld.
* A Level 3 qualification in Childcare or Early Years Education (e.g., CACHE, NVQ, or equivalent).
* Previous nursery or early years setting experience (essential).
* Sound understanding of the EYFS framework and child development.
* Confident with all duties associated with the role, including planning, observations, and liaising with parents.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* A genuine passion for working with children and helping them develop.
* DBS on the Update Service (or willing to obtain one).
