Our client is looking for a Field-Based Technical Specialist to join their growing team.
This is a hands-on role supporting the preparation, deployment, and maintenance of advanced technical equipment. You’ll be working across workshops, offices, and field environments. The role involves travel across the UK with occasional international projects.
Whether you’ve worked in electronics, mechanical systems, installation, or even technical support, if you enjoy working with physical equipment and solving problems on the ground, you’ll fit right in.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Helping prepare, test, and calibrate specialist technical equipment for real-world use
* Travelling to sites to install and support the operation of systems on various mobile platforms
* Providing technical support during deployments and helping ensure systems run smoothly
* Carrying out fault-finding, routine maintenance, and basic repairs when needed
* Working closely with a supportive team who will help you build your technical knowledge
This isn’t a desk job. You’ll be on the move, solving problems, and working with your hands. You’ll gain new skills and experience as part of a highly respected technical team.
A Great Fit If You...
* Like fixing or building things and figuring out how systems work
* Have experience with electronics, mechanics, or technical equipment (either professionally or through training or hobbies)
* Enjoy travelling for work, being in new environments, and working in the field
* Are methodical, practical, and happy to follow processes that ensure safety and quality
* Are confident using basic computer tools and communications systems
* Have a full UK driving licence and are open to occasional overnight stays
It Would Be a Bonus If You’ve...
* Worked in a field-based or technical role before
* Been involved with installation, commissioning, or testing of systems
* Got experience with tools, machinery, or diagnostic equipment
* Taken part in technical training, hands-on apprenticeships, or similar learning pathways
