Senior Planner Opportunity in Renewable Energy
Are you a skilled Senior Project Planner who's been looking to break into the world of clean energy? A renowned IPP is looking to grow their Planning team to support cutting-edge Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects across the UK, ensuring seamless execution from inception to completion.
What You’ll Do:
* Plan and monitor project lifecycles, reporting to senior leadership and project managers.
* Coordinate schedules, costs, and resource models, creating ‘what-if’ scenarios to mitigate risks.
* Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to align timelines and validate contractor schedules.
* Analyse variances, ensure SIMOPS compliance, and recommend actions to meet deadlines and budgets.
* Support progress reporting, risk management, and baseline schedule development.
* Contribute to lessons learned and project closeout processes.
What They're Looking For:
* Proven experience in project planning, ideally in construction or energy sectors.
* Expertise in schedule coordination, cost forecasting, and earned value management.
* Strong knowledge of SIMOPS, contractor schedule validation, and risk analysis.
* Proficiency with project controls tools and techniques.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
* A proactive mindset with a focus on delivering high-impact renewable energy projects.
