Job summary
We are aprogressive Adult ADHD Service based entirely within primary care in Warrington.We are seeking a dynamic, highly motivated individual who is a registerednon-medical prescriber (NMP) with experience of working in a communitysetting. As a registered professional,you will be committed to providing a high-quality service and have a desire tosupport in the development of our ADHD service.
After receivinginitial training from our ADHD clinicians and accreditation from the UK AdultADHD Network (UKAAN), you will be expected to undertake assessments of serviceusers with suspected ADHD using your clinical skills and knowledge to diagnosewhere necessary and explore appropriate treatment and care options. Working asan autonomous prescriber, you will effectively manage a dedicated caseloadleading to further reviews and support appointments as required. Progression orrecruitment to a Band 8a relies on fulfilling the following criteria:
Completionof UKAAN training for diagnosis
Possessa non-medical prescribing qualification
Successfullycomplete a 6-month evaluation professional clinical competency assessment withthe Lead Nurse Consultant for the service.
Supervisionof appropriate team members will be required once appointed.
We areWarrington based and currently provide a service to all 26 practices in thetown, however a majority of our work is successfully undertaken remotely.
Main duties of the job
Thedirect provision of high-quality evidence based person-centred physical andmental health care to service users within the adult ADHD service.
To conduct remote ADHD assessmentsusing evidence-based assessment tools and techniques.
To workas an independent non-medical prescriber taking responsibility for the clinicalassessment, establishing a diagnosis, and discussing all available treatmentoptions (including non-pharmacological treatment) as per NICE guidance.

Job responsibilities
Generate clear and accurate reports summarising the results of the assessment and providing recommendations for ongoing treatment and support.
To prescribe and monitor medications in accordance with Trust formulary and prescribing guidance, including the regular monitoring of effectiveness, concordance and adverse effects of medication, tailoring treatment where indicated.
To ensure a holistic approach to assessments and treatment is undertaken, including consideration of carer needs, physical health needs and signposting to other resources as required, continuing to consider these needs when developing each service users ongoing care plan.
Plan and coordinate necessary investigations, including the physical healthcare needs of service users in the community such as annual physical examinations, both individually, as part of a team, and through liaison with / referral to other agencies.
To work alongside and in partnership with colleagues in delivering treatment in the most timely and efficient manner, including the reporting of any concerns regarding patient care.
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals and agencies to ensure coordinated care.
To stay up-to-date and engaged with the latest research and developments in ADHD assessment and treatment.
To contribute to the development and maintenance of the highest professional standards of practice, through active participation in internal and external CPD training and development programmes, in consultation with the postholders professional and team/operational manager(s).
To function autonomously on a day-to-day basis within the remit agreed in clinical supervision.
To maintain the highest standards of clinical record keeping and report writing in accordance with professional codes of practice and adhering Quay Healthcares policies and procedures.
To undertake specific administrative duties as required.
To able to meet key performance indicators for the service.

1. Experience of writing, implementing, and evaluating treatment plans
2. Evidence of working effectively at a senior level in a community multi-disciplinary health and social care setting (mental health)

3. Ability to manage clinical risk and an understanding of adult ADHD safeguarding procedures
4. Experience of working with the clinical system TPP SystmOne
5. Experience working remotely and using telehealth platforms
6. Evidence of promoting research, evidence-based practice, clinical excellence and quality approaches to support outcome focussed care
