We’re looking for a Graduate Transport Consultant to join our highly successful Transport team in our Manchester office as part of our 2026 Graduate Programme, delivering sustainable projects for our communities, planet, and society.
The Transport Planning team is a dynamic mix of apprentices, graduates, and professionals. You’ll be immersed in impactful local and national projects, gaining early client exposure and exceptional professional development within an innovative, multi-disciplinary environment.
As a Stantec graduate, you will collaborate with your team and wider cohort, developing your expertise in an exciting and creative interdisciplinary setting. You will benefit from strong support from office and technical colleagues, as well as significant guidance from senior staff within our open and collaborative culture.
Your Role
* Design cycle routes and assess traffic impacts.
* Promote active travel and develop transport strategies for new towns and communities.
* Prepare Transport Assessments and Travel Plans.
* Design sustainable transport and road safety schemes.
* Use advanced software for transport modelling and impact analysis.
* Conduct research and liaise with external suppliers.
* Prepare reports, presentations, bids, and proposals.
* Collaborate with clients, councils, and other professionals in meetings and workshops.
* Contribute to a range of public- and private-sector projects across the North of England, including a major freight interchange, business cases for new rail stations, support for new urban public transport systems, and the regeneration of towns and cities.
About You
We value your potential over past experience. You will bring a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Transport Planning, Geography, or a related field, and a keen interest in the infrastructure sector. You will also be:

Working Pattern
Graduates are asked to attend the office a minimum of four days per week to ensure time with your team and the appropriate level of support.
