Location: Croydon
Salary: Up to £40,000 depending on experience
We are currently looking for an experienced CNC Programmer to join a well-established engineering/manufacturing business. This is a great opportunity for a skilled engineer who enjoys working on precision components and improving manufacturing processes.
Responsibilities include
* Create, modify, and optimise CNC programs for milling and/or turning operations
* Set up and prove out programs on CNC machines
* Work closely with setters/operators and production teams to ensure efficient manufacture
* Interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
* Select appropriate tooling, speeds, and feeds to improve cycle times and quality
* Carry out program troubleshooting and continuous improvement activities
* Ensure all work meets quality and safety standards
Skills & Experience
* Proven experience as a CNC Programmer within a manufacturing environment
* Strong knowledge of CNC machining (milling and/or turning)
* Experience with controls such as FANUC / Siemens (or similar)
* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
* Strong understanding of machining principles, tolerances, and materials
* Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Experience with CAD/CAM software
* Background in high-precision engineering (aerospace, automotive, defence, etc.)
* Experience with multi-axis machining
