Job Title: Primary SEMH Teacher
Location: Wigan at a PRU
Contract: Temp with a view of a permanent role.
Hours: Full:time, 37.5 hrs/week (08:30 : 16:00)
Our Partner is a specialist SEMH primary provision in Wigan, supporting pupils with social, emotional and mental health needs. We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Primary SEMH Teacher to deliver high:quality teaching for KS1 and KS2 pupils (Years 3:6). This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference to young learners in a nurturing, inclusive environment.
About the Role
As a Primary SEMH Teacher, you will:

Plan and deliver engaging lessons for KS1 and KS2 pupils, adapting teaching to meet SEMH and Autism needs
*
Implement effective behaviour and classroom management strategies
*
Support the social, emotional, and academic development of pupils
*
Work closely with support staff, parents, and multi:disciplinary teams to create tailored learning plans
*
Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that motivates and inspires pupils
*
Monitor and assess pupil progress, providing feedback and reporting as required
Person Specification / Minimum Requirements
*
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
*
Experience teaching in a primary school setting
*
Proven experience supporting SEMH or Autism pupils
*
Strong behaviour management and classroom management skills
*
No convictions; able to work with vulnerable children
*
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
*
Passionate about making a positive impact on pupils learning and wellbeing
