About the role

We are seeking a talented Research Technician to join Prof Sergio Quezada’s Cancer Immunology Unit, contributing to a pioneering CRUK research programme focused on next-generation biotherapeutics. You will play a key role in designing, cloning, producing, and purifying innovative bi-specific antibodies that harness the immune system to target cancer.

You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team of scientists, supporting ongoing projects and having the opportunity to develop your own research ideas. We value creativity, collaboration, and a proactive approach to experimental design. This is an excellent opportunity to deepen your expertise in antibody engineering and make a real impact in cancer research.

Funding is initially for 18 months, with a 6-month probationary period.

This role does not meet the eligibility requirements for a Skilled Worker Visa certificate of sponsorship under UK Visas and Immigration legislation. Therefore, UCL will not be able to sponsor individuals who require right to work in the UK to carry out this role.

About you

Successful candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences, related discipline or equivalent experience and knowledge within the area(s) of immunology, IgG antibodies, immunotherapy.

Ability to deal pleasantly and effectively with a wide range of people and ability to work independently, prioritise tasks in high pressured environments and manage their own time are both essential for the role.

Master’s degree in Biological Sciences or related discipline, or industrial experience and experience with in vivo models and multi-parameter flow cytometry are desirable but not essential.
