We’re looking for someone to join the online team as an Online Manager - Fleet in the Operations Team at Hilmore House in Bradford, on a full-time permanent basis. This role involves working your full hours over 5 days a week. This is a fantastic opportunity to join the online team.
This role will lead the development and implementation of our end-to-end processes to ensure our fleet of over 1500 online delivery vehicles are available and operated within safe, legal, and cost-effective parameters. The individual will ensure our delivery fleet is roadworthy and ready to respond to customer demand and financial sales plans at all times. You will work across service providers and manufacturers to facilitate and manage preventative and reactive maintenance schedules within established service level agreements. You will develop, implement, and manage safe, legal processes and continuous improvement initiatives within our delivery fleet and manage the end-to-end costs within established budgets.
In the role of Online Manager, Fleet, you’ll be responsible for:
* Establishing safe and legal processes and policies across fleet operations
* Implementing controls to effectively manage financial budgets
* Identifying and providing fleet requirements
* Improving vehicle on-road targets, accident, and damage rates
* Enhancing service, reliability, safety, compliance, efficiency, and cost management
* Maintaining effective relationships with service providers and suppliers
* Building relationships across stores and field teams to ensure fleet availability aligned with customer and sales needs
* Establishing escalation and problem-solving networks for quick response
* Supporting delivery of Morrisons’ objectives through stakeholder engagement
* Planning activities, projects, and initiatives, and providing regular updates to leadership
* Leading working groups to improve fleet operations
* Ensuring stakeholder accountability for key metrics
* Monitoring driver behavior and responding to issues promptly
* Planning for future fleet requirements, including off-hire, on-hire, and secure builds with manufacturers
* Using expertise to resolve challenges impacting fleet operation
* Maintaining accurate records to meet safety, legal, and compliance standards
* Managing fleet financial budgets, including spend controls and authorizations
* Leading the development and delivery of capital expenditure budgets for fleet upgrades and replacements
Skills and experience needed:
* Expertise in fleet management and maintenance
* Understanding of delivery vehicles typically 3.5t
* Knowledge of alternative fuels, electrification, and fuel efficiency
* Familiarity with safety and legal regulations
* Strong understanding of distribution and supply networks
* Leadership and stakeholder management skills
* Influence, motivation, and inspiration skills
* Analytical skills and attention to detail for fleet data analysis
* Ability to establish structure and governance
