Maths Tutor – KS3 & KS4 (Alternative Provision) Location: Alnwick Pay: £25–£35 per hour Are you an experienced and passionate Maths Tutor looking to make a meaningful impact? TP Tutors is recruiting dedicated tutors to support KS3 and KS4 students in alternative provision settings. Tuition sessions take place in a variety of locations, including students’ homes, community hubs, and schools across Alnwick and wider Northumberland. Your Responsibilities: Plan and deliver engaging Maths lessons aligned with the UK National Curriculum. Adapt teaching approaches to meet individual learning needs and styles. Monitor student progress and provide clear, constructive feedback using TP Tutors' bespoke reporting platform. Build strong, supportive relationships to help students develop both academically and personally. What We’re Looking For: Proven experience teaching Maths at Key Stage 3 and 4. Confidence working with students who may require additional support or learning adaptations. Strong communication skills and a motivational teaching approach. A recognised teaching qualification such as QTS or PGCE—or significant equivalent experience. Patience, flexibility, and a genuine passion for helping students succeed. Desirable Attributes: Experience working in alternative provision or with students facing educational challenges. Effective behaviour management strategies. Why Join TP Tutors?
