Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Martial Arts Instructor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in martial arts, teaching, and working with students of various ages. This role involves instructing classes, promoting physical fitness, and fostering a positive learning environment. The instructor will be responsible for developing students' skills in martial arts while ensuring their safety and well-being.
Responsibilities
* Teach martial arts techniques and principles to students of all skill levels.
* Develop lesson plans that cater to the needs of individual students and groups.
* Foster a supportive and encouraging atmosphere that promotes student engagement and participation.
* Implement behavior management strategies to maintain discipline during classes.
* Provide feedback and guidance to help students improve their skills.
* Organize and participate in events, competitions, and demonstrations as needed.
* Maintain a safe training environment by adhering to health and safety protocols.
* Collaborate with other instructors and staff to enhance the overall program offerings.
Requirements
* Proven experience in martial arts, including disciplines such as Karate, Judo, or similar.
* Previous teaching or coaching experience is highly desirable.
* Background in childcare or working with students in educational settings is preferred.
* Knowledge of behavior management techniques to effectively engage with students.
* Experience in related sports such as swimming, basketball, cheerleading, or climbing is a plus.
* Certification in lifeguarding or first aid is beneficial but not mandatory.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to motivate students of all ages.
