Behaviour Support Assistant
Location: Redcar, North East
Salary: £85 – £110 per day

Contract Type: Full-Time / Part-Time
GSL Education are seeking dedicated and resilient Behaviour Support Assistants to work within supportive primary and secondary school settings across Redcar. This is a rewarding opportunity for individuals who are passionate about supporting young people with behavioural, emotional, and social needs.
The Role:
* Provide 1:1 and small group behaviour support to pupils.
* Support students with emotional, behavioural, and social needs.
* Implement positive behaviour strategies and de-escalation techniques.
* Promote emotional regulation, engagement, and positive behaviour.
* Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and pastoral teams to support behaviour plans.
* Help maintain a safe, structured, and inclusive learning environment.

The Ideal Candidate:
* Experience working with children or young people with behavioural or additional needs.
* Relevant qualifications such as Team Teach, NVQ Level 2/3, or similar (desirable).
* Calm, patient, and resilient approach to challenging behaviour.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* A clear understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
