the candidate will require extensive experience of assessing, developing strength based support plans and risk assessments. The candidate will need to be able to present well developed assessments of potential carers using good grammar and English, to present to a panel for approval. must have advanced experience of working on the computer and with IT skills. Must have experience of supporting adults in a CQC regulated service providing home care support and care services. desirable the candidate has knowledge of shared lives. must be flexible to work past 5pm if we receive any emergency situation.
Purpose of the Role:

2. To provide high quality and comprehensive support to the service stakeholders.
3. Working effectively as part of the management team to actively contribute to the development and smooth running of agreed service(s) in accordance with LBE and IWE local policies, procedures and relevant legislation.
4. To deputise in the absence of the manager and to take responsibility for specific parts of the service under the direction of the manager.
5. To manage, support and develop staff within a performance management framework.
6. To encourage creativity, innovation and flexibility in response to need.
7. To ensure that the service is provided within the framework of the CQC fundamental standards.
8. To ensure that services provided are as specified within the individual’s Assessment, Support Plan and Risk Assessments.

9. As a regular and intrinsic part of this role requires you to speak to members of the public in English, the ability to converse at ease with customers and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential and consistent with the requirements of this role. This role also requires you to be polite and courteous when conversing with the public.
10. Minimum of 2 years’ experience of assess personal care and support needs of service users whilst balancing risk with the promotion of independence.
11. Ability to supervise and manage performance of staff effectively
12. Ability to work with professionals to achieve the best outcomes for the customer
13. A Social Care qualification i.e. NVQ/QCF 3 in Social Care or equivalent, and a willingness to undertake level 4
14. Competent when using the IT systems and ability to maintain electronic records in accordance with statutory requirements and data protection policy.
15. Ability to produce an excellent high standard of detailed assessment reports of prospective carers, and present these to an independent approval panel.
Desirable:
16. Access to a vehicle and clean driving licence is desirable
17. Knowledge of relevant legislation, policies and guidance that underpin a service providing care and support to vulnerable adults
