* HLTA or TA qualification (desirable, but not essential with strong experience)
* A strong understanding of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)
* The ability to build positive, trusting relationships with children and young people
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills
* A calm, patient and resilient attitude
* GCSEs in English and Maths
* A clear understanding of safeguarding and child protection
The role Higher Level Teaching Assistant
As a Higher-Level Teaching Assistant, youll work independently and alongside teachers to plan, deliver and adapt learning to meet the needs of pupils with SEND. xsngvjr
You will:
* Support pupils one-to-one and in small groups
* Deliver adapted learning activities and targeted interventions
* Provide short-term classroom cover when required
* Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing
* Use ICT to support learning and engagement
* Contribute to assessments, progress tracking and reports
* Act as a key worker for a named child, providing consistency and support
