An exciting opportunity has arisen within the ultrasound department at the Tunbridge Wells hospital,( Pembury site) the unit has five scan rooms in the main department, one in Triage and one in the early pregnancy unit.
Would you like to be part of a team in a progressive organisation, proud to have outstanding care and staff welfare as values? We are looking for 2 obstetric and gynaecological ultra sonographers, who are passionate about women's healthcare and are highly motivated.
As a specialised women’s health unit, the work includes gynae, obstetrics, cancer pathways and a dedicated early pregnancy unit. We work closely with our consultant leads including scanning with our fetal medicine consultant. You will have the opportunity to develop your organisational and clinical skills within this post. There is an opportunity for career progression and support for those newly qualified. We are actively involved in CPD, clinical governance and audit.
Tunbridge wells hospital is a PFI built in 2009, it offers subsidised parking, restaurant and has a nursery on the Maidstone site with free bus travel between sites.
Flexible working up to full time (37.5hrs) to help with work/life balance would be considered.
Ideally the sonographer must hold the following qualifications DMU, PG cert or equivalent.

Main duties of the job
Our department performs a wide range of scans including: GP gynae, rapid access, dating scans, NT scans, anomaly scans, growth scans and multiple pregnancy. There is a separate, dedicated emergency department where both early pregnancy and emergency gynae scans are performed.
The role will provide you with an excellent professional and personal development and opportunities to be involved in research projects. The department is actively involved in training of student sonographers.

Qualifications
Essential criteria
5. BSc Radiology (or equivalent)
6. Current post graduate nuchal certificate
7. Health Professions Council (HPC) Registration
8. Pg Dip in Medical Ultrasound (or equivalent)
9. MSc or post graduate qualification and relevant experience
Desirable criteria
10. Completed Antenatal Results and Choices (ARC) Level two training
Experience/Knowledge
Essential criteria
11. Post graduate experience in obstetric and gynaecology scanning
12. Experience of supervising staff
13. Evidence of investigative and analytical skills to meet the needs of the service in a changing health care environment
14. Knowledge of Windows and Office computer software
15. Experience of Obstetric and Gynaecology reporting packages
16. Knowledge of data analysis and statistics
