LOCATION: London, Salford, Newcastle or Glasgow - Hybrid
PROPOSED SALARY RANGE: Up to £85,000 depending on relevant skills, knowledge and experience. The expected salary range for this role reflects internal benchmarking and external market insights. Please note an additional allowance (London Weighting) of £5,441 will be applied to the London office only.

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE As a Lead Product Analyst you will lead a diverse team of product analysts to produce insights that will drive digital product strategy across the BBC, working closely with colleagues and stakeholders across Product, Engineering, Data Science and more.

Product Analytics are at the forefront of understanding how our audiences interact with our brand, working to create richer, more personalised experiences that our audiences love.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES AND IMPACT Be jointly responsible for defining and implementing Product Analytics' strategy, in collaboration with teams and leadership across Data, Engineering, Architecture and Product.
Grow and lead a diverse team of analysts to produce high quality, actionable insights, fostering an inclusive environment to ensure all individuals can be their authentic self and contribute to their full potential.
Provide expert leadership in analytical approaches.
Champion the power of data in decision making, leading the charge within the Product Group to leverage it to make decisions through experimentation and insight.
Lead on deep-dive analysis that will frame product strategy and product roadmap decisions by looking for opportunities to optimise audience experience and drive engagement.
Proactively shape and enable engagement and collaboration opportunities across the BBC, evangelising the use of data to guide strategy.
Lead in improving and shaping our data analysis capabilities through understanding and guiding Product
Group's data needs, leading on projects which directly support company goals and improving our self service functionality to facilitate data-led decision making everywhere.
YOUR EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS Essential
Experience leading and managing a team of data analysts, developing individuals and teams to achieve their full potential and driving value through data and insight
Experience working in a fast-paced environment in order to deliver insights that can influence the direction of the business
Great communication skills and the ability to translate technical information for non-technical audiences at all levels of the organisation
Ability to think strategically and a passion for producing high-quality, accurate analytics deliverables
Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders across multipledisciplines, managing expectations of senior colleagues and navigating conflicting priorities and pressures
High levels of logical thinking and problem solving skills
A keen advocate for the role of data in driving business performance
Desirable
Experience working in a digital product focused analytical role in a customer-centric organisation
Familiarity with agile or other rapid application development methods
Understanding of data pipelines and/or data modelling
Experience with Data Science & Machine learning
Understanding of how digital products use experimentation and experience with A/B testing
Knowledge of R or Python
