Our client, a globally leading EPC company is looking for a Senior Process Engineer to join them on an initial four to six months contract with a strong possibility of extension, outside IR35. On a fully remote basis.
Duties include:
* Review and approve detailed process engineering deliverables, provide technical guidance to EPC contractors, manage design changes, and ensure readiness for construction and commissioning.
* Lead technical reviews of vendor documentation, witness key vendor activities, manage interfaces between vendor packages and EPC systems, and ensure incorporation of vendor data into project documentation.
* Participate in EPC-phase process safety activities, close out HAZOP, LOPA, and SIL action items, verify process safety barriers, and support commissioning and start-up safety assessments.
* Provide day-to-day process engineering support to construction teams, review construction queries, and support multi-discipline design reviews.
* Develop system commissioning procedures, support dynamic commissioning and start-up troubleshooting, and ensure process systems meet performance criteria.
* Review and approve final documentation, manage completion and turnover dossiers, and ensure traceability of technical decisions and risk mitigation actions.
* Ensure designs comply with project specifications and regulatory requirements and manage integration of vendor packages with EPC contractor systems.
Requirements:
* Bachelor’s degree in chemical or process engineering
* Extensive experience in EPC execution of upstream oil & gas facilities, with a preference for offshore projects.
* Proven track record in topside facilities, production separation systems, gas dehydration, and produced water systems.
* Previous involvement in vendor package management during EPC.
* Strong process engineering background, including sizing, simulations, and detailed design finalization, with familiarity with major industry standards (API, ISO, IEC, NORSOK).
* Experienced in managing HAZOP, SIL, and LOPA actions during EPC execution, and skilled in applying operational risk management in late project phases.
* Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making abilities, with the ability to work in a multi-discipline EPC environment and interface with contractors, vendors, and operations teams.
