About the role:
We are seeking an experienced Construction Health & Safety professional to join our team in Glasgow or Edinburgh. You will be self‑motivated, client‑focused and able to work independently, bringing a proven track record of delivering excellence in health and safety.
* Perform tasks to a high standard, meeting all duties expected of a competent health and safety professional.
* Administer project work in line with T&A policies, practices and procedures.
* Represent T&A in the marketplace and participate in business development activities as required.
* Act on behalf of T&A in a polite and professional manner, ensuring company values are maintained and promoted.
* Ensure adequate and timely communication channels for effective service delivery.
* Coordinate and prepare information to support the client, listening to their requirements and acting accordingly.
* Provide robust, pragmatic health and safety guidance to clients and design teams on effective approaches to achieve project deliverables.
* Ensure others meet their obligations under health and safety legislation.
* Oversee, review and approve junior staff work where required for project appointments.
* Represent T&A in a professionally competent and positive manner, maintaining the highest standards of service quality and integrity.
* Report to the client and stakeholders in line with client requirements and company standards.

Qualifications
* Relevant experience in a consultancy environment as Principal Designer, Client Adviser, Adviser to Principal Designer or general Health & Safety adviser.
* Hold relevant qualifications or professional membership; APS membership highly desirable.
* Knowledge of fire risk and asbestos risk management.
* Awareness of current health & safety legislation and ability to conduct audits.
* Strong core health and safety skills reflected in successful project delivery across various sectors.
* Understanding of traditional and modern procurement routes and construction contract suites.
* Knowledge of modern construction methods.
* Experience establishing good relationships with multiple clients.
* Understanding of design principles and related knowledge.
