Hygiene Operative

Position: Full-time, Permanent
Hours: 40
Shift Pattern: 06:00 - 14:00, 14:00 - 22:00 Rotating weekly
Pay range: £12.23/hour (£25,438.40 salary equivalent)
Breaks: 2 x 30 minutes paid
Responsibilities
* Clean and maintain staff areas, facilities, equipment, and surfaces (e.g. office areas, bathrooms, bins, canteens & lockers)
* Follow all hygiene, Health & Safety, and chemical handling procedures.
* Keep cleaning records up to date and report issues or incidents.
* Monitor cleaning supplies, use safety signage, and support stock control.
Qualifications
Experience
* Hygiene/cleaning experience, ideally in food manufacturing
* Comfortable working at height
* Hygiene procedures
Knowledge & Skills
* Understanding of GMP and hygiene chemicals
* Good attention to detail and communication
* Team player with the ability to work independently
* Well organised with strong time‑management skills
