Job Title: Gear Cutter Location: Barton Under Needwood, Staffordshire Duration: 3 months min Hours: 7am-4pm Mon to Thurs, 7am-1pm Fri Our engineering client based in Barton Under Needwood require and experience Gear Cutter, for a minimum of 3 months work. The ideal candidate will need to be skilled in machine setting, programming, and operation of gear and spline cutting equipment and have specific knowledge of gear manufacturing processes. Key Responsibilities & Activities (Details of the activities the team member will execute, monitor, report on, and manage) * Use of a wide range of measuring equipment to check components. * Writing and interpreting instructions and procedures to assemble equipment and products accurately. * Obtaining relevant information from the relevant sources * Controlling machines and processes. * Performing inspections of equipment, structures, materials, and products. * Analysing information and finding the best solutions to problems. * Maintaining clear and honest communication at all times. * Keeping the work environment safe. * Learning and applying the latest relevant knowledge to the work * Mentor trainees / apprentices when applicable * Work to and support all relevant 5S activities. * Report any near misses * Ensure that waste is disposed of in the correct manner. * Report any issues or problems with jobs to the line manager. * Adhere at all times to the company's Health, Safety & Environmental instructions, and requirements. * Take on any other reasonable responsibilities or tasks that are within the employee's skills and abilities.
