Key Account Manager – Engineering Solutions (North of England / Scotland)
Salary: £40,000 – £45,000 + 10% salary bonus. Fully expensed company car, laptop, mobile phone, company credit card, pension, 22 days holiday rising to 25 with service, and bank holidays.
Overview
We are a global manufacturer of the most accurate instrumentation, looking for a Key Account Manager to grow revenue within existing distributors across the North of England and Scotland, as well as generate new business across various industries.
Responsibilities
* Manage a small number of existing distributors and grow revenue within those accounts.
* Expand the distribution channel across the region.
* Self‑generate and develop new business opportunities across the whole product portfolio (pressure, test, temperature instrumentation).
* Produce quotations, negotiate and close sales, agreeing commercial terms.
* Attend trade conferences, marketing events and provide technical product training and demonstrations.
* Provide pre‑sales technical assistance to customers.
Qualifications
* Background in mechanical or electrical engineering (preferred).
* Minimum 2 years commercial experience in internal or external field sales / account management, selling engineering solutions directly or through channel partners.
* Experience selling pressure, temperature, flow instrumentation or similar into industry is desirable.
* Driven, proactive, and hungry to develop long‑term business relationships with a focus on customer care.
