Working within the Finance department, the Credit Controller will play a key role in supporting both the team and the wider College by recovering aged and outstanding invoices and maintaining the accuracy of the accounts receivable ledger. You will contact customers with overdue balances in a professional, fair, and customer‑focused manner, working closely with colleagues across departments to ensure strong and positive external relationships are upheld.

In addition, you will assist with updating and improving customer data within the College’s customer register, contributing to the ongoing modernisation and enhancement of our finance systems.

This is a part-time position (21 hours per week) offered on a fixed-term contract for three months.


This role is an excellent opportunity for an organised, confident and conscientious individual who takes pride in delivering high‑quality work. To succeed, you will bring:

* Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively and professionally with both internal colleagues and external customers.
* Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise your workload and manage tasks with minimal supervision.
* A high level of professionalism, diplomacy and customer focus, ensuring that overdue balances are recovered while maintaining positive and respectful relationships.
* Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel, and confidence in handling data accurately.
* Comfort with data entry and maintaining accurate records, as the role involves significant input and updating of customer information.
* A collaborative approach, demonstrating strong teamwork skills and the ability to work effectively across departments.
