We’re looking for a General Cleaner with the practical skills and eye for detail to keep Crook Hall Gardens in excellent condition and running smoothly for all the people who visit.
This is a zero hours contract to support the current team as we continue to develop the visitor offer and staff facilities at Crook Hall Gardens. What it's like to work here
A stone’s throw from Durham’s World Heritage Site, Grade I listed Crook Hall is considered one of the city’s most significant medieval domestic buildings dating back to the 14th century.
The interlinking gardens each have their own style and character. Visitors can discover a maze, a secret walled garden, an orchard, a wildlife-rich moat pool, tranquil seating areas and views of Durham city and cathedral.
What you'll be doing
You’ll be helping with the day-to-day cleaning and presentation of the National Trust’s buildings and outdoor spaces.
Duties such as cleaning, sweeping and litter-picking, both inside and outdoors, form a core part of this role. You’ll aim for the highest standards of customer service everywhere you look after.
You can view the full role profile for this role in the document attached. You don't need to have all the knowledge, skills and experience listed in the role profile; this is just to provide a full picture of what’s possible in this role.
