Overview

To motivate, engage and inspire staff to deliver the best possible service as well as maintain excellent relationships with customers and authorities.

Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities

1. Supervise/allocate tasks including reporting absences and overtime.
2. Plan and deploy resources to ensure customer and operational requirements are met
3. Develop an open feedback culture by managing the performance of employees and ensure workplace standards are maintained
4. Ensure compliance with all Swissport corporate safety and security procedures in order to meet/exceed regulatory standards deliver the desired customer service experience
5. Maintain up-to-date manuals and documentation
6. Build and maintain relationships with customers and airport authorities
7. Encourage consistency and collaboration by ensuring clear communication at all levels. This will include staff briefings, shift handover meetings, 121’s and completion of relevant reports
8. Ensure compliance with Swissports SOPs and policies
9. Ensure maximum efficiency in the operation/turnround of inbound and outbound flights
10. Resolve conflict and irregularities and take appropriate action
11. Responsible for maintenance of assigned equipment and materials
12. Contribute/assist with local emergency plans
13. Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Qualifications and Competencies

14. A minimum of three GCSE’s or equivalent
15. Flexible to work a variety of shifts (days, evening, nights, weekends, and public holidays)
16. Ability to speak and understand the English language
17. Ability to travel to the airport at times where public transport is not available
18. Ability to follow processes and procedures and apply flexible approach when required
19. Willingness to work in inclement weather
20. Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
21. Able to work as part of a team ina changing environment
22. Proficient in computer skills and able to learn Swissport and airport systems
23. Previous experience working in an aviation environment desirable
24. Commitment to good customer service and continuous improvement
25. Self motivated and able to inspire others, with demonstrable experience leading teams
26. Excellent organisational and planning skills
27. A full driving licence
28. Ability to speak additional languages desirable
