We are seeking to recruit a Nursery Nurse to work within the Children and Families team in the Lochgilphead area.
The post is 29.6 hours worked over 4 days and is offered on a fixed term basis for one year.
The postholder will provide Nursery Nurse support on child development and respond to individual and family needs in a variety of settings. The postholder will be required to meet the physical, social and developmental health needs of children and their families as identified by individual family health plans.
The post requires the following qualifications: SVQ3 in Health & Social Care, NNEB or HNC in Childcare and a minimum of 2 years experience in a childcare setting.
Sound knowledge of child development and a good level of literacy & numeracy. You must be able to work with children, have ability & willingness to undertake further formal study. You should have knowledge of GIRFEC. In addition you will be required to work on your own initiative and work well as part of a team. IT skills are required – e‑mail, basic word processing, ability to search inter- and intranet. You should have a good level of physical health and stamina, large and fine motor fitness and dexterity. Car driver essential for this post and a car owner advantageous.
