Rutherford Cross is delighted to be partnering with a highly respected international organisation to appoint a Senior Internal Controls Analyst to join its growing European Financial Controls function. This is an excellent opportunity for a part‑qualified accountant with SOX or controls testing experience, or a newly qualified auditor seeking a move into industry with a strong controls focus.

The Opportunity
Working as part of a high‑performing team, you will play a key role in delivering the organisation’s compliance and financial controls programme. You will gain experience in complex areas of the business and contribute to ongoing improvement projects across Europe.
Key responsibilities include:
* Executing and documenting testing of internal controls to support compliance
* Supporting the development of a risk‑based controls testing programme
* Reviewing work prepared by colleagues as assigned
* Maintaining accurate process and control documentation
* Building strong relationships with process owners across the business
* Providing updates on programme progress and supporting global training initiatives
* Assisting with quarterly and annual control deficiency assessments
* Contributing to global process improvement, standardisation, and automation projects
About You
* Part‑qualified or newly qualified accountant, or equivalent experience
* Background in internal controls testing, or external audit
* Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate control effectiveness
* Excellent communication skills and confidence collaborating with stakeholders at all levels
* Well organised, able to manage multiple priorities, and motivated to work independently
