Welfare Hire Maintenance Operative
This position focuses on the maintenance, servicing and in‑house repairs of welfare hire equipment, ensuring everything is safe, reliable and ready for hire.
Key responsibilities
* Carrying out fault diagnosis and repairs on welfare hire equipment
* Completing planned maintenance and servicing tasks
* Recording jobs and parts used via a mobile tablet system
* Monitoring and managing parts stock levels
* Keeping the depot and work areas clean, organised and safe
* Supporting other depots when required
What we’re looking for
* Experience in a depot, maintenance or engineering‑based role
* Strong attention to detail and good organisational skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Confident working in a fast‑paced depot environment
Major Repairs Operative – Welfare Hire
This role sits within our Major Repairs team, focusing on larger refurbishment projects and more complex repairs to bring equipment back to a high standard.
Key responsibilities
* Undertaking major in‑house repairs and refurbishment work
* Carrying out detailed fault‑finding on welfare hire equipment
* Completing planned maintenance alongside major repair work
* Accurately recording all jobs and parts used on a mobile tablet
* Maintaining clean, safe and efficient work areas
* Supporting other depots and teams when required
What we’re looking for
* Previous experience in repairs, refurbishment or maintenance work
* A practical, hands‑on approach with strong problem‑solving skills
* Ability to work to a high standard with minimal supervision
* Comfortable working as part of a small, skilled team
