About the Role
Client in the defence and manufacturing sector is seeking a high calibre commercial leader to develop strategic partnerships, negotiate contracts and identify new opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
* Strategic Leadership: Develop and deliver the global sales and commercial strategy to achieve revenue and margin growth targets. Identify and assess new market opportunities in defence, aerospace, and space sectors. Shape the company’s market positioning, value proposition, and customer engagement approach. Contribute to corporate strategy as part of the Executive Leadership Team.
* Sales & Business Development: Lead business development activities with customers and Tier 1 suppliers. Drive pipeline growth, bid management, and customer relationship management. Negotiate and close high‑value, complex contracts within long sales cycles. Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and customer forums.
* Commercial Management: Oversee all contract negotiations, ensuring favourable terms and compliance with export controls and defence procurement regulations. Manage risk across contracts, partnerships, and supplier agreements. Implement best‑in‑class governance around pricing, margins, and bid approval processes. Ensure commercial operations are aligned with company objectives and regulatory requirements.
* Leadership & Team Development: Build, lead, and mentor a high‑performing sales and commercial team. Foster a culture of accountability, customer focus, and performance excellence.
