Description
Management Accountant responsibilities include:
* Ownership of the month‑end close process, including journals, balance sheet reconciliations, and fixed asset accounting
* Production of monthly management accounts with variance analysis and commentary
* Preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts in collaboration with operational stakeholders
* Business partnering with site and operational management to provide financial support and insight
* Preparation and submission of quarterly VAT returns
* Supporting external audit processes and liaising with Group finance
* Ensuring compliance with internal controls, policies, and procedures
Profile
Management Accountant Requirements Include
* A recognised accounting qualification (e.g. ACCA, CIMA, ICAEW)
* Proven experience in management accounting, ideally within an SME environment
* The ability to work proactively and on your own initiative, identifying opportunities to add value
* The resilience and organisation skills to thrive in a busy role with tight deadlines
* This role is based 3 days per week in the office near Sittingbourne in Kent and 2 days from home, so please ensure this location is viable for you for 3 days per week before applying.
* Must drive to get to location.
Job Offer
* A salary level of up to £65,000 dependent on experience
* Bonus potential of up to 12.5%
* 25 days holiday + Bank Holidays
