Where does the role fit in? As a Reactive Surveyor, you will play a key role in ensuring responsive repair works in tenanted properties are inspected, specified, and delivered to the highest standards. You’ll work within an established quality control framework, helping to ensure works are completed in a timely, cost‑effective manner while delivering a positive customer experience for our tenants. This role is vital in supporting the efficiency and quality of our day‑to‑day repairs service and the wider Codi Group. You’ll work closely with internal trades teams and contractors, contribute to contractor performance management, and support health and safety compliance, ensuring all activity aligns with Codi’s standards and values. What skills and experience do you need? • Experience: Proven experience carrying out inspections in tenanted properties, ideally within a reactive or repairs environment. • Knowledge: A strong understanding of Building Maintenance within the social housing sector, with a good working knowledge of in‑house repairs services. • Technical Skills: Confident data processing skills, experience using Microsoft Outlook, and the ability to work flexibly with internal IT systems. • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage positively with tenants and manage multiple stakeholders. • Education: A minimum of an NVQ Level 2 in a construction‑related subject. • Driving: A full UK driving licence is essential for this role. What are the pay and benefits? Time off and Flexibility The base is either Swansea, covering a geographical area of South West Wales. Working days are Monday to Friday days or you can work compressed hours on a 9 day fortnight. 26 days holiday, plus Bank holidays. Rising to 31 days with an extra day for each full year of service. Maternity & Adoption Leave: 20 weeks Paternity Leave: 3 weeks Money and Pensions The salary is £40,727 for a 40 hour, 12 months secondment Pension Choices: Defined Contribution (DC) Scheme with matched contributions up to 10%.
