This highly rated offshore law firm seeks an ambitious associate to join its market-leading disputes practice in Guernsey. As part of one of the largest offshore litigation teams across the Channel Islands, you will work alongside highly regarded practitioners on varied, complex disputes, often with significant international scope. Applicants should have 2–5 years’ post qualification experience, ideally with hands on exposure to a range of commercial litigation, financial services/regulatory disputes, insolvency or restructuring matters. Strong academics, sound technical skills and the ability to manage files effectively is essential. Furthermore, it is expected that you will be commercially minded, adaptable, and confident in client contact, with excellent communication and organisational skills. Preference will be given to Guernsey or other UK qualified associates, that said, applications from exceptional Commonwealth-qualified lawyers are also welcomed. Key aspects of the role include: Advising on a wide range of contentious matters spanning commercial, regulatory, insolvency and restructuring disputes. Drafting pleadings, reviewing documentation and preparing advice for partner review. Managing workload effectively, ensuring compliance with internal procedures and client deadlines. Collaborating with colleagues at all levels to deliver effective solutions to complex legal issues. Taking responsibility for professional development and demonstrating the firm’s values.
