About the Role
Are you a Level 2+ Carer looking to join our React care team? Do you want to work with an incredible company? React Care assistants must have a Level 2+ qualification in health and social care and full access to their own vehicle.
The role involves providing on-call support for HCL at all times for sickness, absence, or holidays of Care Assistants across various localities, and delivering short-term care for customers discharged from hospital at short notice. The post also supports staff development through on-the-job training, coaching, and support.
1. Provide home-from-hospital support to discharged customers, ensuring safety and reducing readmission risks.
2. Support the development of the Care Assistant workforce through training and mentoring.
3. Promote customer independence and decision-making regarding their care and goals.
4. Shadow new Care Assistants, identify training needs, and provide coaching.
5. Ensure care is delivered with dignity, respect, and in accordance with the Fundamental Standards of Care.
6. Assist customers with personal care needs and administer medication as required, following policies.
7. Prepare meals and promote good nutrition and hygiene.
8. Comply with company policies on attendance and use of electronic access apps.
9. Represent HCL positively and uphold company values.
Minimum requirements include:
* NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Health and Social Care
* Full UK driving license
* Relevant care experience
* Willingness to undergo induction training
* DBS clearance
* Right to work in the UK
