A large healthcare client is looking for an experienced Capital Projects professional, this
position is a 12-month FTC directly with the client which will likely extend beyond this
duration.
Take full responsibility for the management and delivery of largescale/high value Capital
Delivery across the organisation. An example of this being the Salix funded, Solar
Installations which are between a value of £1m to £12m pa.
The postholder will be expected to develop excellent working relations with Estates and
Facilities teams, cross directorate leads such as such as Finance, Procurement, IM&T,
Clinical Management Groups, Infection Prevention and Health & Safety.
Will be expected to communicate effectively with Trust senior directors/Project Senior
Reporting Officers and Project Board Members. External validation bodies such as NHSE for Salix reporting etc.
Ensure the project scopes are clearly defined, agreed and understood, that expectations are managed through design and construction. Continually identify, report, mitigate and monitor risks across the site programme throughout the lifecycle of various projects.
Essential Training and Qualifications and Experience:
* A relevant professional building or engineering qualification (MCIOB, RICS, APM,
* RIBA, CIBSE, IHEEM, MIMechE, MIEE) or appropriate Masters level or relevant working experience equivalent to the above.
* Knowledge of PRINCE2 project management methodology.
* IT skills in the use of Microsoft Project, Office, Excel and AutoCAD.
* In depth knowledge of the Capital processes and documentation.
* Proven track record of working within a senior project manager role for at least 5 years working across public sector, leading a wide range of stakeholders at a senior level.
