As we continue to grow, we are seeking an experienced electrical estimator to join our M&E division to produce detailed and accurate technical estimates on both traditional and design & build projects.
Job Title: Electrical Estimator
Location: Maidstone (HQ)/On‑site

Working across a variety of sectors including healthcare, defence, government, education, leisure and residential throughout the UK, you will be required to be objective and proactive and be customer‑facing, capable of maintaining and developing meaningful client relationships. Partnering with the wider M&E team, you will play a key role in the preparation and submittal of competitive bids by collaborating with on‑site personnel, the end client and any contractors to gather all necessary information to produce accurate and cost‑effective estimates.
Key responsibilities
* Managing all aspects of electrical estimating, utilising technical knowledge and experience from a previous role
* Producing robust electrical estimates for multiple tender processes using relevant estimating software
* Ensuring that all bids submitted are technically correct and commercially accurate
* Producing tender packages for sub‑contractors and reviewing returned documents
* Liaising with commercial teams to review tender documents and contract design
* Attendance of regular site meetings, site surveys and internal project handovers
* Understanding your responsibility for the health, safety and wellbeing of your team and the wider group, whilst promoting a positive health and safety culture throughout
Requirements
* Hold an industry recognised qualification (NVQ or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering
* Knowledge of 18th Edition wiring regulations
* Detail oriented and commercially aware
* Demonstratable experience of current industry regulations and legislation
* Proficient in Health & Safety legislation and compliance
* Knowledge and understanding of contract design and construction drawings
* Capable of assisting Project Managers and supporting ongoing projects to ensure continuity and productivity amongst a busy work schedule
