Key Responsibilities
* Support Business Development and Country Sales Organisation to develop client design and specifications.
* Create budget proposals based on development of specifications and designs.
* Evaluate client enquiry documentation and interpret requirements, assessing commercial terms and conditions.
* Formulate competitive bids/estimates/quotations with the best product mix and technical and commercial considerations.
* Manage preparation of all bid aspects, including technical, financial, cash flow, and operational delivery, indicating prices and trading conditions.
* Identify potential risks and opportunities in contract agreements.
* Identify and evaluate potential vendors for project equipment and materials.
* Establish and maintain customer relationships to understand needs and provide technical support.
* Work across different business streams, cultures, and countries.
* Manage and drive the Bid Team to deliver quality proposals on time and to budget.
* Develop and identify client requirements, liaising with internal and external suppliers.
* Assist in implementing and promoting company policies and procedures for sales and tendering.
* Develop and obtain governance approval as per policy.
* Interface with client teams regarding technical requirements and contract administration.
* Provide ongoing support to customers by chairing meetings, responding to questions, preparing presentations, and negotiating contracts.
Candidate Profile
* Proven experience in Bid/Tendering Management, Project Engineering, Business Development, and Sales.
* Recognised engineering qualification, minimum HNC.
* Industry sector knowledge in HV (400kV–132kV) and MV (66kV-11kV), and experience in Industrial, Datacentre, Renewables, Power Quality, and substation design.
* Desirable experience in the energy sector, particularly Transmission & Distribution.
* Experience with contract terms and conditions, such as NEC3/4 and FIDIC.
* Team leader experience, including coaching and developing others.
