Known for its collaborative culture and innovative approach, the practice is expanding its London team and offering the chance for an experienced Senior Urban Designer to play a pivotal role in its growth.
The Role - Senior Urban Designer
As a Senior Urban Designer, you will lead on urban design strategies, masterplanning and placemaking projects, ensuring high-quality outcomes that prioritise sustainability, community engagement and design innovation.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the design and delivery of urban design initiatives, masterplans and design codes
* Provide strategic design leadership across a variety of impactful projects
* Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders and local authorities
* Oversee and mentor junior designers, fostering a culture of creativity and collaboration
* Ensure compliance with UK planning policies and design standards
Candidate Requirements
* Minimum 10 years' experience in UK Urban Design
* Strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in urban design, regeneration and placemaking
* Excellent knowledge of UK planning policy and procedures
* Proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp and GIS (Revit experience advantageous)
* Strong leadership, communication and client-facing skills
* Passion for sustainable design and community-focused development
