Role Summary

We are currently recruiting Behaviour Support Teaching Assistants to work within a highly regarded education provision in the Wimborne area.

This is a rewarding opportunity to support children and young people aged 3 to 18, with both full-time and part-time roles available and an immediate start on offer. Positions are available across primary and secondary age groups, providing varied and valuable experience.





About the Setting

The setting offers a caring, structured and inclusive environment where positive behaviour, emotional wellbeing and individual progress are central to daily practice. Staff are supported by strong leadership and work collaboratively to create a calm atmosphere in which pupils feel safe, understood and encouraged. The school is well resourced and places real importance on recognising the impact and dedication of its support staff.





Your Responsibilities

The working day runs from 8.45am to 3.30pm. You will work closely with teaching staff and other professionals to support pupils in managing behaviour and engaging positively with learning.

* Supporting pupils with behavioural and emotional needs linked to ASD, ADHD, SEMH, communication difficulties and complex learning needs

* Providing consistent one-to-one and small group support across primary and secondary settings

* Assisting pupils with emotional regulation, routines and positive behaviour strategies

* Supporting access to learning in and out of the classroom

* Building strong, trusting relationships with pupils and staff





Essential Requirements

To be considered for this role, applicants must have:

* A minimum of six months’ childcare experience

* Experience supporting children or young people with SEN and behavioural needs

* A full driving licence and access to transport, due to the school’s location

* A calm, patient and resilient approach





Pay and Benefits

This position offers an hourly rate of £13.75.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
