We are seeking experienced a MIG Welder to join a busy manufacturing team The role involves welding and assembling metal components to a high standard, ensuring all work meets required quality specifications and safety standards within a fast-paced production environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Carry out MIG welding on a range of metal components, including mild and stainless steel.
* Work from engineering drawings, jigs, and specifications to complete tasks accurately.
* Ensure all welds meet quality standards and production requirements.
* Perform basic inspections and identify any defects or issues.
* Maintain a clean and safe working environment at all times.
* Work efficiently to meet production targets and deadlines.
* Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
Requirements:
* Proven experience in MIG welding within a manufacturing or fabrication environment.
* MIG welding qualification (e.g. Level 2, NVQ, or equivalent).
* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
* Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
* Flexible and reliable with a strong work ethic.
Desirable:
* Experience working within automotive or metal fabrication industries.
* Previous experience working with tubular or exhaust-type components.
* Additional welding certifications (e.g. coded welding) would be advantageous.
Additional Information:
* Shifts: 06:00–14:00 and 14:00–22:00, Monday to Friday.
