Campus Safeguarding Lead
Location: Trowbridge
Salary: £32,414 per year
Are you an experienced safeguarding practitioner with a strong track record of managing complex safeguarding concerns and working within multi-agency safeguarding frameworks?
Wiltshire College & University Centre is seeking a dedicated Campus Safeguarding Lead to lead safeguarding activity at our Trowbridge campus and help ensure students receive the support and protection they need.
This specialist role involves managing safeguarding concerns, assessing risk, coordinating interventions and working closely with external agencies. You will act as the first point of contact for staff, students and partner agencies on safeguarding matters and play a key role in promoting a strong safeguarding culture across the campus.

Key Responsibilities
Lead on safeguarding concerns across the campus
Provide advice and guidance to staff on safeguarding matters
Manage safeguarding referrals and liaise with external agencies
Support vulnerable students and coordinate interventions
Maintain accurate safeguarding records
Attend multi-agency meetings and case conferences
Promote a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment
Deputise for the Senior Safeguarding Lead when required
What We're Looking For
You will have:
Experience managing safeguarding concerns involving children, young people and/or vulnerable adults
Experience working with statutory agencies and multi-agency safeguarding processes
Strong knowledge of safeguarding legislation, including Keeping Children Safe in Education, Working Together to Safeguard Children and the Prevent Duty
Excellent risk assessment, case management and decision-making skills
Confidence to advise, support and challenge colleagues appropriately
Experience in education, social care, youth services, health, criminal justice or a related sector
