The impact you’ll have:
Reporting to the PR Manager, this is an exciting opportunity to join our growing brand and PR function at loveholidays, providing hands-on support to ensure we deliver against our communications objectives. As PR Executive, you will play a key role in protecting and enhancing our reputation as a leading online travel agent by delivering creative and newsworthy stories.
We’re looking for someone who is curious, creative, a team player, and willing to get stuck in to land high-impact coverage. In return, we promise to provide a rewarding and supportive environment where you’ll have the opportunity to grow and develop.
External Communications and PR:
1. Develop press releases, media pitches, briefing documents, and other communication materials.
2. Build and maintain relationships with key national, regional, and trade journalists, keeping our media database up to date.
3. Pitch a range of stories and late deals to the press each week.
4. Monitor news and social media for potential reputational issues, industry updates, trends, and competitor activity.
5. Identify newsjacking opportunities and work quickly to leverage them.
6. Conduct daily monitoring and documentation of all earned coverage.
7. Support the PR manager in producing regular measurement reports to track progress against KPIs.
8. Handle administrative tasks such as invoicing.
9. Be creative — develop a newsjacking mentality and think outside the box.
10. Build media-facing narratives that highlight our brand messages and capture journalists’ attention, ensuring they understand who we are and what we do.
11. Possess experience in a fast-paced PR agency or in-house press office function.
12. Have experience executing consumer brand-awareness PR campaigns.
13. Understand crisis communications and issues management.
14. Have knowledge of digital PR and SEO dynamics.
15. Demonstrate excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence upwards and work with stakeholders at all levels of seniority.
Not necessary but desirable:
1. Knowledge of the travel sector.
2. UK and Irish media relationships, especially in travel and consumer affairs.
3. Experience managing agency relationships to deliver clear business outcomes.
