What skills and experience we're looking for
The postholder will:
1. Be an active member of the Pastoral Team.
2. Take a lead on ensuring the Trust agreed school behaviour protocols are effective and consistently delivered within the school environment.
3. Act as a gatekeeper in the CSC/Reflect.
4. Keep an accurate pupil register within the CSC/Reflect using ARBOR.
5. Ensure all pupils attend CSC/Reflect.
6. Utilise the MIS system to track and intervene with serial internal truants or pupils who are consistently late to lessons.
7. Support the NPCAT behaviour for learning policy by contacting parents/carers regarding pupil-related matters, including exclusions or suspensions.
8. Monitor and evaluate strategies for KS3/KS4 pupil behaviour tracking, target setting, and mentoring.
9. Provide effective care and guidance for pupils, including those with SEND, Child Protection issues, and Looked After children, ensuring safeguarding protocols are followed.
10. Monitor behaviour and liaise with pupil engagement officers, attendance case managers, safeguarding officers, form tutors, teachers, curriculum leaders, and SLT, assisting with interviews to encourage cooperation and support.
