About the role
As a Sterile Services Technician, you'll play a crucial part in ensuring that all surgical instruments and equipment are properly decontaminated, sterilised, and ready for safe use in operating theatres and clinical settings.
Key responsibilities include:
* Cleaning and disinfecting surgical instruments and medical devices
* Inspecting and assembling equipment to high standards
* Operating sterilisation machinery safely and effectively
* Keeping accurate records and maintaining compliance with infection control procedures
* Working closely with clinical teams to ensure timely delivery of sterile supplies
This is a permanent position for 64 hours per fortnight and is located at Royston Hospital in Hastings, Hawkes Bay.

About you
You will be an excellent team player, and be committed to delivering the highest standards to ensure patient safety.
We would prefer applications from sterile services technicians with NZQA level 3 Sterilising certificate or equivalent experience

* A reliable and organised approach to work
* Previous experience in a healthcare or cleaning environment is a plus, but not essential
