Job Description
Within the commodity Supply Chain team, the Buyer will provide sourcing and pricing for electronic and mechanical components for Avionics and TacCIS programmes. The role focuses on commodity procurement, supplier negotiation, cost reduction, and supporting procurement requirements for components, materials, products, and services for manufacturing and operations. The role aims to support the supply chain procurement team in achieving targets and objectives to deliver value for money.

Qualifications
* Purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment
* Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems, particularly Oracle ERP
* Strong negotiation, cost management, and interpersonal skills
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
* Proficient with Microsoft Office, especially Excel
* CIPS / IACCM Qualification (desirable)
* Experience with Six Sigma, Lean manufacturing, or Product Development programmes (advantageous)
Additional Information
Salary ranges from £38,560 to £45,000, depending on experience, plus our flexible benefits package.
We offer hybrid working—ideally, an average of 2 days per week on-site.
This is a 12-month fixed-term contract.
