Clare House School Porthcawl is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and dynamic Key Stage 1 Teacher to join our founding team. This is an opportunity to help create a new school community from the very beginning, creating meaningful learning experiences within a multi-age Year 1 and Year 2 environment where every child is celebrated, known and encouraged to thrive.

Role overview
1. Teach within a multi-age Key Stage 1 class across Year 1 and Year 2
2. Deliver engaging learning experiences through experiential and transdisciplinary project-based approaches
3. Support children’s academic, social and emotional development through strong relationships and purposeful teaching
4. Adapt teaching to meet the needs of individual learners and support progress over time
5. Contribute to curriculum development and the wider life of the school community
6. Work collaboratively with colleagues, families and the wider school community
Requirements
7. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification
8. Strong understanding of the Key Stage 1 curriculum and child development
9. Commitment to creating inclusive, relational and child-centred learning environments
10. Ability to use an holistic assessment strategy of summative, formative and reflective approaches to effectively to support pupil progress
11. Confidence working collaboratively as part of a growing and values-led team
12. Understanding of safeguarding responsibilities and commitment to pupil wellbeing
